Aging Your Pots and Containers
I prefer the look of aged pots and containers. I love to see moss growing on terracotta or concrete planters. If you'd like to achieve this aged look without waiting for years-try this recipe. In a blender, combine moss and buttermilk or substitute plain (non flavored) yogurt for the buttermilk.
You can use moss from your yard, or try a craft store. Place the pot in a shady area of the garden and keep it moist-you can use a spray bottle. Keep it damp for a few weeks and soon you will have live, growing moss.
